Eligibility Requirements
TO BE PART OF EO MELBOURNE, YOU MUST:
- be the founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a company in Melbourne and surrounding areas
- hold one of the above titles for a company that grosses more than AU$1.5 million or US$1 million annually.
For venture-backed companies to qualify for membership, they must have privately raised funds of US$2M or publicly raised funds of US$5M, and 10 full-time employees.
Venture-backed companies have three years before they must meet the standard qualification of US$1M in gross annual revenue.
EO ACCELERATOR PROGRAM:
Suppose you fall below the EO Membership eligibility requirements. In that case, you have the option to join our Accelerator Program, which is designed for entrepreneurs who turnover a minimum of US$250,000 annually in their business, up to US$1 million in their business. Through this program, we will provide you with the tools you need to catapult your business to over US$1 million in annual turnover. To apply, visit our Accelerator Program page.
HERE IS A BRIEF LOOK AT THE EO Membership APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. Expression of interest:
Complete the Expression of Interest form. Once you complete the application form, we will review your application to make sure you’ve met all the criteria.
2. Interview with membership chair:
Our Membership Chair will schedule an interview with you to further explore your interest in EO.
3. Invitation to apply:
You will be asked to complete a membership application form including revenue verification.
4. Application reviewed by THE Board:
Your application will be reviewed by the Board. If approved, you will be invited to join EO.
5. Joining the EO network:
When your application is accepted, you will gain access to a Forum, a chapter and Global events, as well as a wide variety of other member benefits.
6. Orientation and training:
Within the first three months of membership, you will partake in EO orientation, which will include a welcome package and introductory information from a member of the EO staff. You will also go through Forum training and be placed in a Forum.
